At Veltex Recovery Group, recovery is not a journey taken alone. One of the most transformative aspects of our program lies in the deep-rooted traditions and community offered through 12-step meetings — Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and Co-Dependents Anonymous (CoDA).
Why 12-Step Meetings Matter
The 12-step model has been a cornerstone of long-term recovery for millions worldwide. These fellowships foster:
- Accountability: Participants commit to personal growth and support others in doing the same.
- Connection: Shared experiences reduce isolation and shame, creating a vital sense of belonging.
- Spiritual Growth: Through steps such as self-inventory, making amends, and seeking a higher power, individuals can build spiritual resilience.
At Veltex, we recognize these programs as vital to sustainable healing.
Integration into Our Program
Each resident at Veltex attends regular AA, NA, and CoDA meetings both on-site and in the local community. These sessions are integrated into our weekly schedule and facilitated by trained staff or volunteers with lived recovery experience.
- AA (Alcoholics Anonymous): For those recovering from alcohol dependency.
- NA (Narcotics Anonymous): Focused on recovery from all types of substance use disorders.
- CoDA (Co-Dependents Anonymous): Crucial for many women in our program, helping them rebuild healthy relational patterns.
These meetings are more than support groups — they are lifelines, allowing clients to share, listen, and grow alongside others walking the same path.
Building a Foundation for Life After Treatment
By the time our clients complete their residential stay, they’re not only familiar with the format and language of 12-step groups — they’re equipped to continue participating in the recovery community for life. Many remain in contact with their sponsor, attend meetings post-discharge, and even return to share their stories with new residents.
Recovery isn’t just about detox — it’s about transformation. And at Veltex Recovery Group, 12-step meetings are a central part of your transformation.
